To Mark Collins and the rest of the magnificent team members. Please may I take this opportunity to say thank you for the wonderful service you provide and the work it must entail. I have spent a short few hours browsing the sites and really appreciate the many long hours you all must put in to make these records available for researching. WELL DONE!!! Kind regards and keep up the good work Denys Botha.
I think this is a wonderful website and so user friendly. I have been researching the Newnham family from Ardingly and Balcombe and it has been so useful. Many thanks for all the hard work that has been put into this to make research for people such as myself so much easier.
Thank you so much for this very helpful and comprehensive website. I am researching my family history: not easy when they were all in rural Sussex and I am in Lancashire! I have really appreciated all the work you have put in, and for making this such an easy site to use.
What a wealth of information and an outstanding collection of postcard images.... Many thanks for all the hard work all the volunteers have done to create this excellent website. Great stuff - keep it up !!!! Researching the Browne surname.
Wonderful scans, thanks so much for taking the trouble to do them all. I'm very grateful. It's a really good website, I've found so much of interest. A big thank you to everyone who contributes and keeps it going.
Only recently discovered ancestors from East Sussex, namely Chatfield and Vincent families. The Sussex OPC is a wonderful help for people from the other side of the world like Australia. A big thank you to the people who have put their time into this site.
What a fantastic resource your group have made available. Congratulations and thanks to all concerned.
Thanks for your site... I have sat up too late here in Australia locating ancestors who lived in Sussex. Have managed to add a few more names to the family tree, so thanks again. It is always wonderful to be able to access information online, particularly for those of us on the other side of the world.
Just a note to say thank you to your band of volunteers who have transcribed the documents, which has made it easier to find my distant family; living in Yorkshire and my family coming from the south coast finding your site has been brilliant!
My goodness!! What a wonderful wealth of information - I am finding so many of my Gadd ancestors and those connected to them that it's almost making me dizzy! To all who are working diligently on this site to make it what it is "Bravo"!
I have been researching my Sussex roots for some time now but only recently found your website and I just wanted to say a big thank you for the information I have been able to access. A fantastic job has been done to gather all this information and it is so useful to people interested in researching their ancestors. Thanks to you I have been able to confirm a notion that my ancestors originally started in East Sussex and moved west to Shoreham where they were a very well know and large family who had a big involvement with the Shoreham Lifeboats. Thank you and keep up the good work.
I just thought I would let you know how helpful Chris Swarbrooke has been. He has posted lots of information for me and supplied me with loads of hints and tips. ... Chris has also sent me photos of family gravestones etc. I am really impressed with the service I have received.
I just wanted to tell you that I came across your website and I was absolutely blown away by the information that I was able to access.

I have just had a look at your Sussex OPC website, incredible what a wonderful thing to do, the scope and power of the volunteer movement is unstoppable, truly altruistic stuff from which everyone will benefit. ... These voluntary organisations mark the civilised part of our great country.
