Harrison's description (1911):

ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST. Restored in 1878. Piers and arches of nave, Tr.-Nor.; tower arch, Perp.; piscina, Dec.; some windows are lancets, others Perp. Note: two squints; old oak benches; curious twisted patters of communion rails (17th c.); brass (1658); font (1620); small vestry (E.E.), with mutilated piscina; three bells (17th c.); fine porch, Dec.; blocked-up Nor. doorway. The chancel inclines to the S. There are several memorials to the Earls of Winterton. Some of the work in the N. wall of the nave may be pre-conquest. Reg. 1569.

St. John the Baptist, Kirdford is an impressive stone-built medieval church with features from Saxon & Norman times and four Kempe stained glass windows (see links at the bottom of this page for details). Its bell tower houses six bells that are rung regularly.
