WE, the Ecclesiastical Commissioners for England, in consideration of a benefaction of three hundred and fifty pounds sterling, which has been paid to us in favour of the vicarage of Westhampnett, in the county of Sussex, and in the diocese of Chichester, and in respect of which we have agreed to pay to the Incumbent of the same vicarage, and to his successors, a yearly sum of eleven pounds thirteen shillings and four pence, do hereby, in pursuance of the Act of the twenty-ninth and thirtieth years of Her Majesty, chapter one hundred and eleven, section five, grant to the Incumbent of the said vicarage of Westhampnett, and to his successors, to meet such benefaction, one other yearly sum or stipend of eleven pounds thirteen shillings and four pence, such yearly sum or stipend to be payable out of the common fund under our control, and to be calculated as from the day of the publication of these presents in the London Gazette, and to he receivable, in equal half-yearly portions, on the first day of May and on the first day of November in each and every year : Provided always, that if at any time lands, tithes, or other hereditaments sufficient, in our opinion, to produce the yearly sum or stipend so payable out of our common fund, as lastly herein mentioned, or any part thereof, shall be annexed by us to the said vicarage, in substitution for such yearly sum or stipend, or for such-part thereof, our liability for the payment of such yearly sum or stipend, or of such part thereof, as the case may be, shall thereupon and thereafter cease and determine.

In witness whereof, we have hereunto set our common seal, this twenty-fourth day of April, in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three. (L.S.)
