St Michael's (restored in 1885) is the parish church, but not the most interesting. It has a Nor. round tower (as at Piddinghoe and Southease) pierced by small quatrefoils, with a lofty shingled spire; the rest of the building is mostly modern - rebuilt 1754. Note: two fine brasses (15th c.), one to Rev. J. Blandford, the other to a knight (mutilated); a monument to Sir Nicholas Pelham (1559); and a communion cup and cover (1664).
