WE, the Ecclesiastical Commissioners for England, acting in pursuance of the Act of the twenty-ninth and thirtieth years of Her Majesty, chapter one hundred and eleven, section five, do hereby subject as hereinafter mentioned, grant and convey to the Incumbent of the vicarage of East Dean, with the vicarage of Friston annexed, in the county of Sussex, and in the diocese of Chichester and to his successors Incumbents of the same benefice, all those two pieces or parcels of land and hereditaments, together with the buildings thereon, their appurtenances, which are particularly described in the schedule hereunto annexed, and are now vested in us, to have and to hold the said pieces or parcels of land and hereditaments, with their appurtenances, to the use of the said Incumbent and his successors for ever: Provided always, that the Incumbent for the time being of the same benefice shall be entitled to receive from us, or on our account, the net amount of the rents, profits, and proceeds of the said pieces or parcels of land and hereditaments, with their appurtenances, as from the twenty-fourth day of June, in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

In witness whereof, we have hereunto set our common seal, this eleventh day of April, in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven. (L.S.)
