The site has been tested in Google Chrome, Opera and Apple Safari (our favourites), Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer; all on Windows 7.

16 Mar 2021	We were saddened to hear from his daughter of the death of Chris Swarbrooke who has been a supporter of the Sussex OPC scheme almost since its inception, providing help to researchers of Hastings, Lewes and Ore. We send our deepest sympathy to his family and have removed his contact details from this site.

24 Apr 2010	Upgraded the postcard and image browser, added a title search function and additional search selectors.
01 May 2010	Upgraded the parish register, will, protestation return, poll register, postal directory entry and gazette browsers.
29 May 2013	Unfortunately we have begun to run out of space on our shared webserver, so I have reluctantly decided to reduce the size of the images from a maximum dimension of 600 to 480. Of course, if you require an image for your own family history, we can still provide higher resolution copies via email. All images on the site will gradually be reduced in size.

The advertisements below are served by Google; the very small revenue generated when people click on them sometimes covers the cost of hosting the Sussex OPC website.
