Hangleton is a small parish 3 miles north-west from Brighton, containing but one farm house and a few cottages, in the hundred of Fishergate, union of Shoreham, with an area of about 1,300 acres, The living is a rectory in the incumbency of Rev. H. Hoper. The church is a small very ancient structure.
