Instructions for the index to Parishes

The parishes are arranged alphabetically. Using the drop down box above you can access a list of parishes or alternatively list places beginning with the selected letter.  In order to reduce the length of the drop down list, it does not include modern parishes, however the list option does.

Note: Parishes are assigned to their historical county according to the parish map (access temporarily removed), which will also allow a map based navigation of the parish pages.

In large metropolitan areas, churches are assigned to their modern parishes, so be sure to check those too!

Often clicking on photographs and other headings in the Parish Pages will link to more detailed information (especially about churches) either here or on a linked site.

Come back often as the number of OPCs and information will grow over time.

The OPC pages have included the IGI batch numbers for parish registers that have been transcribed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  This information has been gleaned from several sources, and updates and corrections are welcomed.
