Son of Robert and Mabel Carter of Elm Tree Cottage Wannock and husband of Alice Rhoda Carter of Ryde House 35 South Street Eastbourne

Remembered with Honour

Robert is buried in the Pernes British Cemetery Pas de Calais, FRANCE

The British Cemetery is 1 kilometre west of the small town of Pernes-en-Artois on the road to Sains-les-Pernes between Lillers & St Pol. It contains 1,075 burials from the First World War and 18 from the Second. Sir Edwin Lutyens designed the cemetery. Robert Carter’s name is on his parents’ grave stone in Jevington churchyard.
